Cooking Stage featuring MasterChef Winner Grant Gillon
Learn from nationally recognized and local cooking pros!
Grant Gillon is a private chef from Altoona, IA focusing on bringing high quality locally sourced meals right into your home. He specializes in multi-course private dinners prepared to your specifications.
He was the winner of MasterChef: United Tastes of America (season 13) with Gordon Ramsay.
Joining Grant on the Cooking Stage will be local chefs and students from the Ivy Tech Culinary School.

Live Stingray Encounter
Contortion and Archery in One!
This wonderful exhibit is an all-day interactive exhibit featuring knowledgeable educators to teach your patrons. The world’s only traveling, self-contained Stingray Exhibit! Let your patrons safely view and touch these wonderful creatures during your event and receive a hands-on educational experience.
Purdue Extension Garden Expert Stage
A staple of the Fort Wayne Home & Garden Show, the Purdue Extension Garden Experts are invited to come and educate others on topics ranging the gamut of gardening.
Midwest Garden Gal – Lisa Hinzman Howard
Lisa Hinzman Howard Bio
Lisa Hinzman Howard is an author, speaker and consultant. She helps gardeners – from pros to dabblers to wannabes – experience the joys of gardening. A certified Iowa State Extension Master Gardener volunteer since 2011, Lisa founded her company Midwest Garden Gal, LLC in 2016. She designs classes which she presents, both in-person and web-based. Lisa also conducts in-person and online yard and garden consults for home and business owners. Her first book, Cheap Tricks Gardening: ‘Cause You Don’t Need to Spend a Fortune for Fabulous, was published in 2022. The Giant Gardening Guy
Guinness World Record Holder – The Giant Gardening Guy
47-year-old Alex Babich who was born and raised in Ukraine and emigrated to the United States at the age of 14, set a new world record by growing 10.9 meters high (35.76 feet) sunflower. Flower has officially entered the Guinness Book of World Records.
The record was set on Sept. 3 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event was attended by about 85 people, including local authorities and experts. A special lifter was used for measurement.
The highlights of setting the record:
- Babich began to grow sunflowers seven years ago as a symbol of love for Ukraine.
- His first flowers reached 4-5.8 meters.
- The record-breaking sunflower was the result of “many years of trial and error”.
- The special contribution was made by the 10-year-old son of a recorder who named the plant Clover (“Clover”) and every day put on the leaves of four-leafs fortunately.
- Alex Babich: “Sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine, so it is special to me. We are praying for the war to end. And we hope it will inspire people.”
- Soon the story of the flower will be the basis of the documentary “Bloom”. Meanwhile, Babich plants sunflowers near the campgrounds and donates seed packets to children at festivals.

Feature Garden Space
Created by Nicole Johnson Designs
Nicole is best known for her absolute love of trees and plants. She’s a published artist in many mediums, including folk art, automotive bodywork, modern dance and landscape design. She brings her love of art, junk and nature into all of her designs.
Show Exhibit
Nicole will decorate the Garden Gallery entry ramp with plants, flowers & more! Plus she will have a featured exhibit space at the bottom of the ramp full of plant life, color, repurposed items & more! Her creations never disappoint! Plus, she will create a space for guest artists and creators to share their passions with showgoers. More details & schedules to come!
Indiana Wild – Animal Experience
Learn about & meet incredible animals
Our friends at Indiana Wild are back and bringing their furry, scaly, feathered and shelled friends! Visit their exhibit space #1138 in the Conference Hall throughout the show to meet these amazing animals. Additionally, Indiana Wild will take to the feature stage in the Conference Hall for some special animal presentations!

Chainsaw Carving Demos
Accomplished chainsaw carving artist Myles Nasby will be carving during the show and selling some of his finished art pieces. Myles will be located in the Conference Hall.
Myles Nasby Bio
Multi award winning chainsaw carver Myles Nasby has been working his craft for seventeen years. His first bear was carved at thirteen years old. From chainsaw carving competitions, county fairs, and other carving events, and custom made orders, Myles still continues to learn and grow his skills with every piece carved. Myles lives outside Ridgeville, IN with his wife, daughter and their two boys.
Gnorm the Gnome Mascot
Meet & get your pictures with Gnorm!
Our gnome mascot came to life in 2023 as part of our 50th Anniversary Celebration! Showgoers were asked to help “Gname our Gnome” and Gnorm was Gnamed!
Gnorm will roam the show floor and lobby each day to greet showgoers, pose for pictures and put smiles on faces!
While Gnorm doesn’t have a specific appearance schedule, we’re pretty sure he’ll be hard to miss on your visit to the show!

Dinosaur Dimensions
Bring the whole family for a fun and educational experience they will never forget! Dinosaur Dimensions features a realistic collection of animatronic dinosaur puppets that captivate and entertain audiences of all ages…especially kids! Shows feature four different dinosaurs, and between shows, crowds will get a chance to meet & greet with the dinosaurs, making for amazing memories and photo opportunities. Storytime – Children’s Book Readings
Bring the little ones to the stage area for an enchanting literary escape! This year, the Fort Wayne Home & Garden Show is proud to introduce Storytime, brought to you by Reading with the Roedes and the WonderTales StoryShelf (A Paper Pies brand partner located in Booth 1122). Children and parents can gather to hear delightful readings of popular titles like Dan, the Taxi Man and Helpfulness for Hippos. It’s a wonderful way to spark a love for reading while taking a break from the show floor. Catch a session at the following times:

Live music – Joe Justice
Keep an ear out for the acoustic stylings of Joe Justice! You’ll find him performing throughout the show in the walkway between the main exhibit hall and the Appleseed Room. His live sets are designed to enhance the ambiance as you stroll between features, creating a lively path toward our expert gardening speakers and features. Don’t just walk to the next exhibit—enjoy the soundtrack along the way!
Kids Day on Sunday
Bring the kids on Sunday for Kids Day!
- The Fort Wayne Zoo will be on-site with two animal presentations taking place at 12:30p & 2:30p. Come meet and learn about an American Toad and a Corn Snake from local experts!
- Meet Johnny Tin Cap at the show from 11:30a-12:30p on Sunday!
- We’ll also have face-painting available from 12p-3p, courtesy of Painted Reflections!
